Dambire Mwale
After growing up in Zimbabwe because of her parents' work, Teacher Mwale returned to Zambia to complete her training as a teacher. She taught in government schools for over two decades before retiring. Once retired, she felt uneasy that her skills were not being put to use, and she joined Hope Community School to use her experience to help the vulnerable children of the Twapia community. With five chidlren of her own, Teacher Mwale knows just how to get the most out of her students, who are often coming to school for the very first time in her Grade 1 class. When she's not inspiring the future leaders of Zambia, she enjoys listening to the radio, watching TV and reminiscing about when she used to play volleyball when she was younger.
