Hope Community School

Hope Community School currently serves more than 200 vulnerable and poor children between the ages of 4 and 16 in the Twapia neighborhood of Ndola, Zambia. The academic focus is on learning English and basic math skills, which are required for students to pass the entrance exam for secondary school (8-12th grade). For many of the students, this is the first time they have had the opportunity to attend school on a regular basis.

With hunger and poor nutrition a serious problem for most of the children, a meal program was started in order to provide food four times a week for the students, even when school is not in session.

Your sponsorship allows the child to be enrolled in Hope Community School, and provides school supplies, a uniform, a meal program, and a basic medical check up and treatment at least once a year.

The cost of a full sponsorship for a child at the school is $50/month--which covers the assistance described above. You can choose to sponsor a child for $25/month or the full $50/month. We encourage you to choose the amount that fits you best.
