Poultry Farm

One of Spark’s primary goals is to invest in a local income generating project or business for each of its partner organizations. These sustainability projects provide financial independence for our partners, along with opportunities for the children they serve to learn valuable job skills.

Spark, Hope and the Poultry Farm

In Hope's case, Spark launched the Sustaining a Future Campaign to provide the seed capital for a poultry farm that will be used to generate local revenues and help move Hope Ministries towards financial independence.

Completed in February 2010, the campaign raised over $150,000 and is allowing Hope Minisitries to start plans for the farm. Hope is currently in the process of developing a strong business proposal that, with the approval of both Spark's and Hope's Boards of Directors, will guide the purchase of land, the construction of the farm buildings and the launch of the business.

The poultry farm is expected to begin operations in spring 2011, and Spark is looking forward to this powerful phase of the partnership with Hope Ministries.
