The Memory Project

Founded in October, 2004, the Memory Project was started by Ben Schumaker after a trip to an orphanage in Guatemala. He was compelled to action after the realization that most orphans have few, if any, pictures or memories from their youth.

We collaborated with Ben and the Memory Project in November of 2006 by giving them pictures of the children at Hope House Orphanage. Ben found a school teacher in New York City named Ernesto Pederoso who had his class of high school students draw the portraits ofthe kids.
