Sustaining a Future Campaign Goal... Reached!
We did it! Thanks to the over 200 investors who contributed to the Sustaining a Future Campaign, Spark is thrilled to announce that o
ur goal of $150,000 has been met... and surpassed! With a strong push at the Wine Tasting Event on Thursday and some generous investments over the last week we were able to reach the goal and will now receive a generous matching grant of $150,000 for a grand total of over $300,000!
Contributions will be accepted through February 28 so there is still time to be a part of this exciting campaign. Give Here! | Sponsor a Child Here!
The focus of the campaign is to fund a poultry farm which will provide job skills to children and help move our partner, Hope Ministries, towards financial independence. The farm will be fully owned and operated by Hope Ministries in Zambia and the revenue generated from the farm will help finance Hope Community School and Hope House orphanage, which together serve over 300 vulnerable children.
The poultry farm represents the third phase in Spark's partnership model where we seek to stabilize, strengthen and then help to sustain our partner organizations. Since 2007, Spark has helped Hope Ministries stabilize by providing teachers' salaries and starting a year-round meal program. We have helped Hope strengthen their operations by purchasing a bus for transportation and constructing a new school facility. Our current goal and the focus of this campaign, is to help Hope become sustainable through a poultry farm business that will provide local income generation.
On behalf of our staff, Board of Directors, partner organization and the children we serve together, THANK YOU!
