Spark Launches the Sustaining a Future Campaign

Spark Ventures excitedly announces the public launch of the Sustaining a Future Campaign! The Sustaining a Future Campaign aims to raise $150,000 from now through February 28th, 2010. These funds will provide the seed capital for a pig and poultry farm used to generate local revenues and help move Hope Ministries towards financial independence. We are happy to announce that Spark has already raised $50,000! You can track our progress here.

Similar to last year's Igniting Hope/Building a Future campaign, a private foundation has offered to match the $150,000 total for a grand campaign total of $300,000! There are a few differences this year though. Firstly, this is a challenge grant campaign as opposed to last year's matching grant campaign. That means Spark must raise all $150,000 in order to receive the match.

A successful campaign will enable the Spark/Hope partnership to move into the third phase of Spark's partnership model, which focuses on creating sustainable organizations, and allow Spark to begin searching for its next and second partner organization.
