Shelby Goldstein Schoolhouse In the News
Two years ago this month, Shank and Renee Iyer were devasted by the loss of their 4 year old niece, Shelby Goldstein. After setting up a memorial fund in her honor, the Iyers were invited by a friend to Spark's 1st Annual Wine Tasting. Through hearing Spark's message that night and talking with one of the founders, the Iyers decided to use Shelby's memorial fund to help build a school for hundreds of vulnerable children Shelby's age. The Shelby Goldstein Schoolhouse was opened in January 2010 and now serves over 300 children in Zambia.
